Best laid plans of mice and men……

The Apartment Renovation 2008 may not complete until 2009, but I plan to have a better chunk of my projects finished by my trip to Italia in September. I finally was able to collect my ideas and sketch out concepts and a somewhat general plan of how things will look. HUGE thanks to Mer Mag and Apartment Therapy, two more great blogs, that have opened up such tremendously creative images that have kept me inspired and salivating to invent more! Paris, Cape Cod

I spent this last weekend taking my yearly smallish trek to visit my favorite auntie in Cape Cod.
Nothing like a couple hours of girl gabbing, shopping for knick-knacks at the Christmas Tree shoppes, and throwing back a couple Cape-Codders while enjoying some great fresh catch barbequed over an open flame. As long as I can avoid deep sea fishing with Uncle A, I am aaaaaall good.

Ivar The Ugly

Warning to all those DIY-ers out there who think assembling some Ikea shelving is for beginners. If you purchased the Ivar Drawer Unit ( supplier code 77315909) which installs into the shelving unit, you might think that the hieroglyphics in any Egyptian pyramid might be simpler to decipher than these obtusely illustrated instructions.

Out to Lunch…..

Sorry, fan, (singular as I think its only my Mom who reads this) but I have been busy cosmetically reimaging my apartment and workspace. So far, it has involved a very involved 6-hour trip to IKEA with my strong friend, Andy, as well as some serious drilling, staining, assembling, etc.
