I spent a lovely day tchotchke shopping with Auntie E in Cape Cod as I do each year, and, surprise of all surprises, my father joined us! Given, we we all gathered for my cousin’s graduation party, but this eponymous staunchly modern architect would have sooner used his Le Corbusier for kindling than accompany us for sentimental frames made of hand-gathered sea glass. Hence, the look on his face.
Lo and behold, he did find a little something while we made it home empty-handed. Some treasures from our outing:
mermaids swimming in the sunshine of my Auntie E’s window….
Beautiful bread from a delightful roadside cafe on Old Kings Highway… best chai latte ever!
This Volvo driver must REALLY love knitting…..
A local designer- SHIBUI. I love that you can custom order this dress from some swatches- I bet it fits like a dream.
