I’m feeling a little sad today. I’ve been trying to plan this elaborate trip to Italy to work and make contacts, and despite the crazy amount of effort I seem to be putting in, it isn’t happening. Omen? Or should I just try harder and not give up on it?
The idea was to get a little work, soak up La Dolce Vita, and make some contacts in the Italian fashion industry to possibly develop a job that might keep me there for longer. The thought of not being able to soak up the Italian sunshine while sketching alongside the lapping waters of Lake Como is killing me. My summer of continuing to bust my butt in the hot NYC dutch oven to bring food to my table seems massively unappealing…..
