Another weekend discovery in my neighborhood ! My new love is this fantastic antique book store called Argosy on 59th st. They sell everything from fabulous out-of-print books and antique volumes (the subtitle alone of the one above makes me giggle), to maps, old marbled book covers ($2.00!!), prints…and last but not least…..original fashion sketches from big design houses like Givenchy and Lanvin. I have to say, folks, I nearly lost my mind while thumbing thru the below.
Some are actual guache paintings with swatches of fabric used to create the couture creations- available for relatively cheap prices. I can’t wait to acquire a few to frame for my walls!

As a last visual, this book cover captured my attention, but the hilarity of the title announcing itself with such aplomb makes me desire it more than chocolate at the moment!
