The blogs are a-buzzing this morning with not only this MONUMENTAL win for Barack Obama, but much like the divide of the country in choosing the new leader of the free world, they seem to be split on their opinions on Michelle Obama’s “victory” dress.
I can’t seem to find any information on the designer of the First Lady Elect’s dress, but I have to say, I am one of the ones who LOVED it. And furthermore, for the first time since Jackie O. challenged our political fashion palate, Michelle O. is doing the same! I’ve always been a big defender and encourager of risk-taking in fashion, and although it may result in the occasional misstep, (gasp! too much cleavage or a mismatched handbag!) I think THANK the Lord, for not looking like every darn cookie cutter out there!
It would be my honor to dress this beautiful and iconic lady. This is why I’m electing her as The Fab Look Of the Day!
See some more close ups of her dress here and here.
****UPDATE*****
My friend Kelly has informed me that the dress was made by none other than Mr. Narciso Rodriquez. You can view more information on NEW YORK MAGAZINES website here.

I loved it too…Thank God Michelle didn’t wear a big 80’s linebacker suit and pearls. She’s just not like that. I look forward to “seeing” and “hearing” more from our very charming and beautiful future first lady!!!
