After a little trend shopping for work, I decided to skip ahead to the sights and the art of Milano. The shopgirls really got my goat, as unlike most italian cities and villages, they seriously have twigs up their bums. Trading Via della Spiga for the Duomo and the Castello Szoresco, I found that the true trends for color, fabric, and construction were created by designers called Caravaggio, not Cavalli…
Some pics I stole in the Milanese Duomo of a former (read 500+ years ago) Catholic Cardinal’s Jewels. I have to look into the church as an employer- the benefits must be amazing. But those nuns habits are so itchy!
The stained glass windows line the front of the Duomo and burst with a juicy rainbow of colors…..
This is the Galleria mall in the center. Damn, these Milanese know how to build a mall! And this Manhattan girl thought she’d never set foot in another mall after a disaster in Jersey which involved Aqua Net and a scrunchie……rumored that the amazing architect fell to his death from the heights of this mall just 3 short days before it opened…
Click on the below to view more highlights as my heels (ok, ok, fashionable sneaks) burned their way thru Milan for 2 days….
